Reading the Sacred Manuscript of Nature
This concentration creates an accommodation for the awakening and evolution of spiritual ecology and ecological consciousness. Hazrat Inayat Khan taught that Nature is the only holy book written directly by the hand of the Divine — a living scripture whose symbols, seasons, and elements speak directly to the open heart.
“Nature is the only scripture that can enlighten the soul. The trees are the scriptures, the earth is the book, the sky is the writing.”
The Mystical Agriculture of the Soul
Ziraat (from the Arabic/Persian for agriculture) is a unique esoteric branch of Sufism founded by Hazrat Inayat Khan in 1923. It utilizes the symbols and operations of farming — plowing the soil, sowing the seed, watering the field, weeding, and reaping the harvest — as a profound spiritual metaphor for the inner cultivation of the heart.
Plowing & Preparing
Breaking open the hard, crusty ground of fixed habits and ego-rigidity to make the heart receptive to truth.
Sowing the Sacred Seed
Planting divine ideals, sacred sound phrases, and spiritual intentions into the fertile soil of the subconscious.
Weeding & Tending
Uprooting weeds of bitterness, doubt, and pride while watering virtues with daily prayer and contemplation.
Reaping the Spiritual Harvest
Gathering the fruits of inner peace, wisdom, selfless love, and sharing blessings with the whole community.
